The Night Routine

September 21, 2016

Unwind your mind at the end of the day by practising gratitude and self-reflection

Taking time to reflect is an extremely valuable practice that you will learn to integrate into your night time routine as well. This kind of simple daily ritual helps establish bliss and peacefulness in your mind and your body takes this cue and begins to prepare itself for a good night's sleep.

What have I enjoyed today?

Your brain is wired to notice what you focus on. By registering the positive moments of your day, you'll notice more positive moments the next day, and eventually every day. This daily question is a great way to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, known as the number one shortcut to finding peace of mind and happiness inside.

What have I learned today?

If you want your future self to be awesome, register what you've learned - the blunders, the errors, the tears, the wounds - and the wins, the successes, the aha-moments. Checking in with yourself daily to see what you have learned today - even if it seems not worth writing about - has tons of benefits and is an essential life skill you're about to gain with this journal.
